There's a new way to get fit at Papatoetoe Community Gym at Allan Brewster Recreation Centre. Manukau Leisure's award winning Krank programme is designed to deliver a cardio, strength and toning workout from a seated position. It opens the door to people with disabilities, obesity or lower body injuries. Classes are available for all fitness levels and abilities. Minimum as 16 years old. See the group fitness timetable and get kranking!

Community Gyms six-week boot camp

If you want maximum results in minimum time then join boot camp. Experience the camaraderie and gain access to six workouts per week.

Starting 13 February 2012, the six-week boot camp style programme will see you working out alongside a bunch of people all motivating each other to achieve. Group training sessions will be delivered indoors, outdoors and in pools for heaps of variety. And you're welcome to enlist with your friends and family - they don't have to be Community Gyms members to join boot camp.

If you're part of a sports team, or even if you just want to pull your friends and family together, this is the perfect challenge for group participation. All shapes, sizes, and fitness levels welcome.

Summer holidays are just around the corner! Make sure your child has a fun, safe and exciting experience by enrolling them in your local recreation centre's holiday programme. Our holiday programmes are inexpensive, varied and heaps of fun. We're CYFs approved and OSCAR registered so WINZ subsidies may apply.

Each Manukau Leisure centre has a timetable of exciting adventures including sports, day trips, outdoor pursuits, and arts'n'crafts. All activities are supervised by experienced staff and children are grouped with others of similar age to participate in age-appropriate activities.

We're taking enrolments now. Don't miss out! See your local centre or check out school holiday programme page for a full programme of activities. Bookings are essential.
