School holiday programmes
Take the bordem out of school holidays by booking your child into a holiday programme at your local recreation centre. Our programmes are inexpensive, varied, safe, and most importantly, loads of fun.
Each Manukau Leisure recreation centre has a timetable of exciting adventures including sports, days trips, outdoor pursuits, and arts and crafts. All activities are supervised by experienced staff and children are grouped with others of similar age to participate in age-appropriate activities.

Break-Away holiday programme
Break-Away is a Ministry of Social Development supported programme, in which we provide entertaining and exciting day activities for teenagers aged 14 to 17 years. During this varied programme of sports, games, swimming, team building and leadership development, participants will be transported to a Manukau recreation centre, park, swimming pool or outdoor venue.
Teen Extreme
For one week during each school holidays the Manukau on the Move team runs Teen Extreme for 12 to16-year-olds. This holiday programme features challenging activities that will push you out of your comfort zone and blow out the cobwebs. Adventures include sea kayaking, climbing and abseiling, mountain biking, and caving.
