Half Moon Bay’s new fitness club has just launched group fitness classes. The exclusive group fitness studio caters for up to 20 members per class – providing an energised environment while remaining attentive to all participants.
Manukau Leisure stole the show scooping up three prestigious awards at the New Zealand Recreation Association annual conference gala dinner last night [Tuesday 3 November] at Napier’s Opera House.
Otara Leisure Centre’s pool (Noman Kirk Memorial Pool) will be closed from October 2009 through to October 2010, while a brand new indoor pool complex is developed.
The current pool will be demolished to make room for a new 25 metre, four lane lap pool, a combined leisure and teaching pool, and a toddlers’ pool. New services will include a 30 square metre spa and two saunas.
The recreation and fitness centre will remain open and operate as normal during the 12 month project. Temporary access to the fitness centre will be via the shopping centre side of the building, on Newbury Street.
It’s been one month since Marina Fitness opened their doors so the Howick & Pakuranga Times caught up with the fitness professionals employed to ‘shape up’ Half Moon Bay.
