Manukau Leisure provides a range of affordable facilities for you and your family, sporting team, community group, school, or organisation to hire and enjoy. There are many facilities to chose from including 19 community halls, seven recreation centres and six swimming pools, located throughout Manukau. Our facilities are suitable for, but not limited too:

Types of Facilities

Community Halls
Manukau Leisure has 19 community halls available for hire in residential and rural locations. All our halls are equipped with kitchen facilities, disabled accessibility, trestles and tables, and plenty of off-street parking. Our halls range in sizing from 25 people through to 340 people. They are ideal for community meetings, social functions, church services or wedding receptions.

Recreation Centres (including meeting and seminar rooms)
With seven recreation centres, you are sure to find the right space for your next event. Majority of our centres feature full size sport courts, seminar and meeting rooms, and kitchen facilities. Two of our recreation centres (Otara Leisure Centre and Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Leisure Centre) are attached to community swimming pools. All other centres are within close proximity to community swimming pools.

Swimming Pools
We have six, indoor and outdoor swimming pools available for hire. You can hire a lane, pool, or the complex depending on your swimming requirement or event. Hiring any one of our pools is ideal for private lane swimming, birthday parties through to swimming meets, school swimming sports or other water sports. Whatever your aquatic requirement, we have the facility for you.

Capacity

Facility capacities range from small groups of five through to your large gatherings of 1200 people, seated and standing. Majority of our venues have sufficient numbers of tables and chairs, kitchen facilities, and convenient parking.

Cost

Venue hire rates range from $10 - $115 per hour, depending on the purpose of your event and time required. Set up and clean up time are included in the hire fee.
A bond is required for each booking and the cost will be determined by the type of use. Bond rates range from $150 - $1000 and are fully refundable if the facility is left in it’s original condition.

Parking

All our halls, recreation and aquatic centres have plenty of on site parking, as well as nearby street parking.
